Pouring Palm Wax Candles
Palm wax makes the most gorgeous candles,
even more so when poured over 90 degrees Celsius.
Firstly met the wax over a double saucepan,
allowing the water to rise to a boil,
then lowering to a high simmer.
While that happens, wick your candle. The mould must be able to sustain the extra temperature. Avoid cheaper, fine plastic moulds. Silicon, Glass, Metal or heavy plastic moulds are good.

The wick is held at one end with a stick and blue-tack covers the wick and hole at the other (the top of the candle).
***it is most important to tuck any exposed wick into the blue-tack and cover again so that none is exposed.
The wax will track through the wick and if not covered as described, your wax will leak.
As the wax cools, break the surface in case there is any contraction. Top up as necessary. Remove the cold candle the next day.
