Carved Citrus Slices
Use for White or transparent Glycerin Soap USE THIS METHOD FOR ALL VARIATIONS 1. Melt in a double saucepan on your stove or in the microwave at 60% in 2 minute intervals 2. When melted, add colour, essential oil and 1 teaspoon water to each 100gm glycerin soap. 3. Pour into moulds CAUTION: use a cake tray under moulds when pouring in case of leaking ARTFUL CARVED SOAPS A simple 3 stage process for an amazing result A. Make the coloured centre piece Prepare small (6cm) tube mould—be sure the plastic and elastic band are secure. Melt the 400gm transparent soap Add 2 teaspoons water Add green colour and essential oil of choice Pour in the melted soap. Allow to set B. Next day, push the soap out of the tube Carve the shape to make a tree, star, semi-circle - use a carving knife to shape the large cuts and a smaller knife to cut into the shape . The soap carved away can be saved for another project . C. Finish the soap Prepare the larger (7.5cm) tube with bag and elastic band in place. Place the carved piece into the tube Melt the 400gm white glycerin soap Add 2 teaspoons water and essential oil Pour this mixture over the tree and allow to set. Next day, slide the soap out of the tube and slice with a large carving knife. ![]() | |
