All Australian Candle Making Supplies and Kits

Welcome to our new site!

We trust that you find the new site easy to navigate and full of helpful hints for both soap and candle making. It was not possible to import customer records from the old site so please re-register your details at the top of the page for reliable and secure on-line shopping.

Soap lovers! keep a watch on the site for the arrival of new silicon moulds. The detail in these moulds create consistently pleasing, well defined patterns that are just perfect for your melt and pour soaps, and also cold processing.

Candle makers will love our options for candle wax, including natural beeswax straight from the hives, or natural candle wax in soy wax and palm wax; or reliable old fashioned paraffin. With these elements, the look of the candle is entirely in your hands!

Our classes last year were very busy creative zones, exploring the different media and many, many techniques. If you can't get to a class at our workshop in Arcadia, please take time to see our FREE on-line videos and FREE projects and instructions. Remember, we don't only host candle making and soap making classes, but also concrete carving and Powertex fabric sculpting.

Dates for 2010 have now been up-dated on the site. The buttons are in the left column. You can book there or phone the office on 02 9653 3600.

New glass now available... about 80gm capacity.

This one has been made with container soy wax and medium wick assembly (burned beautifully for 12 hours). We used soy wax for containers - it has adhered to the glass with no contraction points and a lovely flat surface too.

Of course there are many more moulds and possiblities, then just around the corner it's Easter....

....Easter soaps mould at only $8.50 for the 4 cavity mould - use white melt and pour soap with our non-bleed soap colour

All these soaps have been made form vegetable based 'melt and pour' glycerine soap derived from palm oil. If simply melts in the microwave or over water in a double saucepan, then pours. You can use many items in the kitchen as moulds, but the fine detail in these silicon moulds can be exactly duplicated with this soap. It is available in transparent, white, goats milk and organic (SLS free) soap.

Freshly sourced beeswax, straight from the great dividing range! Get a taste of candle making with pure east coast beeswax ...  even if it's your first attempt, you can easily make a container candle using our wick and tab assemblies in glass or ceramic containers. Or simply roll a beeswax candle! The best moulds for making beeswax candles are the silicon moulds, otherwise probably best in any 2 part moulds, seen here in the photo.

Other waxes for making natural candles are palm wax and soy wax. The palm wax forms the most lovely patterns on the outside of the candle, the soy wax has a soft milky white look. Both these candle waxes are very popular when I do exhibitions. Natural candle wax accepts essential oil very well, usually using 10ml per kg melted wax.
