BRAND NEW ARRIVALS now available! These soap moulds make it easy, the mould does all the work, with intricately carved detail.
All these soaps have been made from vegetable based 'melt and pour' glycerine soap derived from palm oil. If simply melts in the microwave or over water in a double saucepan, then poured. You can use many items in the kitchen as moulds, but the fine detail in these silicon moulds can be exactly duplicated with this soap. It is available in transparent, white, goats milk and organic (SLS free) soap. NEW now also with 20% olive oil - an amber, semi transparent melt and pour soap.
Our blog is now underway, if you would like to subscribe for regular news and projects see ozcandlemaking.blogspot.com
Freshly sourced beeswax, straight from the great dividing range! Get a taste of candle making with pure east coast beeswax ... even if it's your first attempt, you can easily make a container candle using our wick and tab assemblies in glass or ceramic containers. The best moulds for making beeswax candles are the silicon moulds, otherwise probably best in any 2 part moulds, examples are seen here in the photo. Beeswax is gret for hand-dipping too. Wholesale beeswax quantities available.
Or simply roll a beeswax candle. Our beeswax sheets are pure beeswax harvested in NSW by dedicated apiarists. The beeswax sheets are easy to cut with any kitchen utensils, so the candle can be rolled to the right size.
Other waxes for making natural candles are palm wax and soy wax. The palm wax forms the most lovely patterns on the outside of the candle, the soy wax has a soft milky white look. Both these candle waxes are very popular when I do exhibitions. Natural candle wax accepts essential oil very well, usually using 10ml per kg melted wax.
Our candle moulds (candle molds) have many different origins. We source many of our candle moulds (molds) directly from Australian manufacturers. Different materials are used for different shapes, and thus we source the candle mould depending on the material. The tin moulds are folded into shapes like tall pyramids, stars and tall blocks; the aluminium are shaped over a master; silicon can be anything at all but becomes very expensive with large pieces; cheaper plastic options enable the beginner to buy any shape at all, but limited by pouring temperature and size.
We now proudly offer wholesale candle wax by the box and further up to a pallet load. Bulk wax supplies for all sorts of commercial purposes. Whether it is bulk or wholesale paraffin wax for candle making, sterilising bee hives, preserving timber, adding to balms or paints, even on top of jams we have the right wax for you. Makers of surf board wax, depilatory wax and sealing wax please see our range of paraffin and microcrystalline wax.
Bulk and wholesale palm wax is now available. This wax makes the most amazing candles with its crystal patterns forming around the candle.
You may notice diferent spelling for soap molds and candle molds - variations due to international spelling differences. We source many different molds from Australian manufacturers and also globally. Each manufacturer has their own material specialty which reflects in the shape of the mold.
